UPDATE!! New Hampshire HCR 6: Rep's vote to "Die" rather than "Live Free!"

UPDATE* ROLL CALL VOTES ARE IN:

Here are the roll call votes:

ROLL CALL VOTES FOR HCR 6

The first one of these, Inexpedient to Legislate (ITL) succeeded in killing HCR-6 216-150. There were
two attempts to reconsider later in the day. Both were defeated, 108-207 and
104-212.

The ITL margin was 66. The reconsideration margins were 99 and 108. If we want this to pass in 2010, we have to add somewhere between 34 and 55
conservatives to the House..

New Hampshire Representatives Vote To "Die" rather than "Live Free"

In what can only be described as a loathsome act of partisanship at approximately 11:00am this morning New Hampshire Legislatures voted
(216-150)
not to remove NH HCR6 from ITL. NH HCR6 was Rep Don Itse's
amendment initiated as a 'reminder' for the Federal government that the powers
they possess are in fact few and limited. The resolution re-affirmed
'states rights' under the 9th and 10th amendments of the constitution currently
being ignored by our Federal government.

As one supporter stated, "We the people witnessed the flaunting of We the government today."
The final vote briefly echoed across the chamber before being drowned by boo's and
statements of accountability. NH folks anxiously watching from the balcony
(of which I was one) had no hesitation in offering in a thunderous voice to the
freakishly paranoid looking rep's below; "Remember in November" and "Live Free
or Die!"

Amidst the loud reminders for those in support of the ITL committee State police and house officials had to enter the lobby and gallery
area to quite folks down and escort a few out.

A roll call vote was requested and granted for the republican supporters of HCR 6. If you would like to assist the citizens of New Hampshire in holding these puppets of the Federal government
accountable please visit http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us to
view the roll call list once available. Please be aware that a yes vote on
HCR6 was a vote against the amendment! A yes vote keeps HCR6 in ITL,
basically 'killing the bill."

While I shared in the disgust, disappointment and general anger of the crowd of folks I was not completely
discouraged.

I arrived at Concord at 6:30am this morning. I did so
with a feeling of pride and determination. Although many folks (myself
included) fully expected the eventual results of the day I did have an
underlying "hope" in mind. After all this was not a partisanship issue
this was a citizenship issue. "How could anyone oppose standing up to the
excesses of the Federal government!?" I told myself. The resolution was so
simple and clear and dolt could easily understand it and support it. I did
not rule out the possibility my rep's could make me very proud
today.

I met up with Brad Marston shortly after arrival. Brad and I shared some coffee with several other passionate activists as we watched the
crowd begin to arrive.
We managed to have 500 citizens show up in weather that fluctuated from 8(when I arrived) to 20 degrees and stand in front of the
state house in unity. Needless to say we were all quite
pleased.

Several speakers engaged the crowd from a thrown together stage and amateur PA system. Folks mingled and gave speeches to sections of the
crowd on their own. There was fire in their eyes, excitement and passion
in their voices. We continuously had folks coming up to speak to us.
Folks that recognized us from online efforts or previous activists events.
It was inspiring.

The sense of purpose, determination, excitement and pride was momentarily over-shadowed when the roll-call vote came to
conclusion. Immediately cries of "You're Fired!" followed by harsh
criticisms regarding future elections and "You don't represent me!" But;
as I said only for a moment.

Behind the fierce looks, shouts, and still shivering faces I saw something. I saw "hope." I saw
"change."
Because of this last election cycle and the use of those terms in that cycle I had all but forgotten they were real 'things.' But
there they were. I saw them! Hell, I felt them!

This wasn't a defeat. This wasn't a battle lost. This was simply a battle
scar. The kind one brandishes proudly as they march unstoppable across
enemy territory.

Something happened here in New Hampshire today. Something not unlike what happened here during our first revolution against
tyranny. People found their voice, felt their hearts, believed in the Constitution and
made a bold, brave decision to choose Liberty and Freedom regardless of the
actions of those 250 (#those that voted to kill the bill) that 'allegedly'
represented them! The people in New Hampshire made no bones about the fact
that they CAN and WILL govern themselves.

While we had 'hoped' that the
NH House would be united in telling the Federal government "Enough is
Enough!" "You can not and will not disregard and blatantly stamp out our
rights!" We instead found 'real hope.' 150 rep's shared that simple
request. 250 did not.

The 250 rep's that did not support removing HCR6 from ITL had no nor did they offer any argument to support their
decision. It was simply the same partisan "because we can" attitude we see
in Washington every day. Rep. (by default not victory) Michael Rollo
(D) of Rollinsford NH made several half-assed attempts to tie today's events to
those of 1799. It has become abundantly clear that Michael is in desperate
need of a history lesson as he displayed a shocking misunderstanding and sever
lack of knowledge on the subject. When it became clear that argument
held no water he would often attempt to claim this was simply a whacky
secessionist act. We all know nothing could be further from the
truth. BTW HCR 6 does not even mention the word
secession...anywhere. This seemed to work in rallying his peer puppets of
the Fed. as they used it for their basis of rejecting the resolution.

The uneducated, cowardly liberal majority in the House made it clear they will not
fight for anyone other than themselves. They will not protect NH or her
citizens from the abusive over reaching excesses of the federal
government. They as a body feel quite comfortable in letting the Federal
government play a larger role in our every day lives so as to prevent future
events like today. Today the NH liberal lobotomy crew widened the
divide. They made it very clear that it was an "Us against them"
situation, created by them intentionally. They made it very clear that
there will be enemies in this battle. They made it very clear they wish to
be that enemy.

However; There is additional legislation with similar principles as HCR 6 that show great promise and have been supported in
the house. These people have to live very close among us. They
will feel the pinch of the Federal government and feel the burning ferocity of
our movement. Minds will turn. It is happening already.

Not too long ago, this was a blip on the radar screen. New Hampshire led the way. Soon several states followed suite, then dozens.
Representatives became names known around the country overnight. People
began to study their constitutions once again. People began to
understand that they live in two separate governments, governed by separate
Constitutions, that of their State, and that prepared for the United States of
America by representatives of the States. People are beginning to remember
and realize for the first time that their first and best protections are
found in the Constitution of their state. The US constitution only exists
provided the conditions of the states constitutions and wishes are
upheld.

New Hampshire has the distinction of being the first State to declare itself independent from Great Britain. It had the first Constitution as
an independent State on January 5, 1776. On Jan. 5, 1776, six months
before the people of the United States claimed self-government, the people of
New Hampshire gave this country its first state constitution. The next day, the
House of Representatives was created. The annual salary for a rep
today $200 per biennium. It also has the last Constitution adopted
after the War for Independence adopted in 1784. It allowed the founders to
incorporate the best of everything contained in the Constitutions of the other
states, and extend the more important ideas.

Today New Hampshire, that traditionalist fundamentally conservative state full of pride and granite
hard independence birthed the "hope" and "change" of a new movement. Today
New Hampshire citizens sent out a call to their fellow granite stater's and to
you around the country . . . "WE ARE A SOVEREIGN ALLIANCE!"

If you are in a state with a 10th amendment initiative underway please share your information
with us so we can assist. If you are in a state that has yet to initiate
such a measure urge your representatives to step up and defend your liberty,
your freedom and our sovereignty!
